The Location of consolidated.db file on your iPhone

By

After the discovery of a file named consolidated.db on iPhone, many users feel a little nervous about their privacy when using their iPhone. It is not surprised when most of the iPhone user want to find where is consolidated.db stored on their iPhone. The reason is quite simple, they want to disable this location tracking database to ensure that their iPhone doesn't store the location data.

You can do this by jailbreaking your iPhone, but if your purpose is just want to disable the consolidated.db file it is not necessary to find where does this file located in your iPhone because you actually can disable the entire location tracking database with the following steps (adopted from ultrasn0w).

1. Install an application called "untrackerd jailbreak tweak".

2. Encrypt the backup of your iPhone in iTunes. The file is still stored, but tools like iPhone Tracker make it unreadable).

3. Disable your iPhone's Location Services.
